New Documentary: A Critical Introduction provides a contemporary look at documentary and fresh and challenging ways of theorising the non-fiction film. This engaging textbook brings the study of documentary up to date by examining critical issues of performance, gender, authorship and spectatorship and suggests how these are important to an understanding of documentary cinema.Areas addressed include:

The author
