A call to go to a Boston brownstone on Beacon Hill is anything but business as usual for forensic psychologist Shelby Wright. Claiming to live in the house is a man clad in 19th-century gentleman's attire, from his black top hat to his ornate walking stick. Eccentric for sure, but what takes Shelby aback is the name on his business card: Dr. Haven Ramiel Grenville. Dr. Grenville was a police profiler with a complex past and an unusual gift for solving crimes in the late 19th century. Shelby is reading a book about him. As a psychologist, Shelby is intrigued. What caused this man to lose his identity and adopt Dr. Grenville's? Shelby has a hunch there is more to this man than meets the eye.
