It highlights the latest advances in the application of operations research (OR) to technology-driven areas in business, finance, and economics, covering both theoretical and methodological developments, as well as real-world case studies. It also explores the connections between OR and other analytical disciplines, such as soft computing and computer science, which can promote the development of new decision support technologies.

 




Constantin Zopounidis is a Professor of Financial Engineering and Operations Research at the Technical University of Crete (Greece), Honorary Professor at the Department of Management Science and Technology of the Hellenic Mediterranean University (Greece), Distinguished Research Professor at Audencia Nantes, School of Management (France), and Senior Academician of the Royal Academy of Economics and Financial Sciences of Spain. He is Editor-in-Chief or Editorial Board member for several international journals. His research interests include financial engineering, financial risk management, and multiple criteria decision making.

 

Angeliki Liadaki holds a laboratory teaching assistant position at the Organization and Management Division of the School of Production Engineering and Management, Technical University of Crete (Greece). Her research interests include financial management, analysis of investment decisions, and management of financial risks. She has published scientific papers in international journals and has participated in conferences and research projects.

 

Marianna Eskantar is a Ph.D. Candidate and Member of the Financial Engineering Laboratory at the Technical University of Crete (Greece). She holds a degree in Applied Mathematics and an MBA from the Department of Production Engineering and Management. Besides her teaching activities as a laboratory assistant, she has contributed to five scientific articles for international publishing houses and over 150 articles in reputable Greek journals and newspapers.
